Responsibilities:
Manage the daily operations of the office, including but not limited to:
- Translate for the General Manager and his family, company individuals and guests of the company.
- Prepare and confirm travel arrangements for company individuals and guests of the company.
- Arrange transportation services, hotel reservations and restaurant reservations for company individuals and guests of the company when requested.
- Compile and prepare regular and special reports.
- Mange office communications, including phone, email, and post.
- Maintain petty cash fund.
- Liaise with government officials.
- Travel with the General Manger on sales calls to translate for him when required.
- Translate official business documents.
- Maintain correspondence and communications with clients.
- Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records.
- Maintain all office equipment in good working order. Mange maintenance agreements and cleaning staff.
- Secretarial functions such as computer data entry.
- Maintain company office supply inventory and request purchases as necessary.
- Enter data into the company computer system.
- Help to maintain proper accounting, which meets all Chinese government requirements.
- Other activities as assigned by the General Manager.
Requirements:
- Must have excellent English communication skills both written and spoken;
- Excellent computer and typing skills.
- Must have a business, engineering, or English degree.
- Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience working at translation or office
management.
- This is an English speaking office and all communication within the office are
to be in English.
Compensation: Commensurate with education and experience.
